Jaw Surgeon Dr. David Bell: Jaw Surgeon Dr. David Bell, D.D.S., M.D., of Orthognathic Surgery MD in Irvine, California, is an orthognathic surgeon whose patients travel from across the United States, as well as from Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, and the Middle East. Orthognathic surgery involves repositioning one or both jaws to restore proper function and alignment. He performs procedures at South Coast Specialty Surgery Center in Costa Mesa, which is 2 miles from John Wayne Airport. His work focuses on improving patients’ lives through orthognathic jaw surgery by enhancing facial balance, improving breathing through treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome, supporting effective chewing, and ensuring long-term stability. Dr. Bell earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honors) in Music from York University in Toronto and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Human Biology from the University of Toronto. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York City, where he completed a 2-year research scholarship under Dr. Steven Roser.
